# NextWord Browser vs Babel Browser

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NextWord Browser at 100% against Babel Browser's 41%. NextWord Browser also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). Babel Browser's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (9 vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Babel Browser sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. NextWord Browser asks for nothing beyond the download.

Babel Browser holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of NextWord Browser's written reviews are positive against 41% of Babel Browser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NextWord Browser ships an update weekly, Babel Browser every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
