# Clockout vs OptionsPlayers

The clearest difference is ads: OptionsPlayers at none against Clockout's shown. OptionsPlayers also leads on review sentiment (92% vs 63%). Clockout's advantage is ratings volume (8K vs 88) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clockout sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and OptionsPlayers sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $34.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Clockout against 4.6 for OptionsPlayers. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clockout has 8K ratings behind it against 88, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Clockout's written reviews are positive against 92% of OptionsPlayers's.

Clockout ships an update weekly, OptionsPlayers monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
