# Clockout vs Gemas

The clearest difference is ads: Gemas at none against Clockout's shown. Gemas also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Clockout's advantage is ratings volume (8K vs 2) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Clockout sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Gemas sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gemas holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Clockout has 8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Clockout ships an update weekly, Gemas every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
