# StudentSafe vs Sommet

The clearest difference is update cadence: Sommet at every 6 days against StudentSafe's every 2 months. StudentSafe's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

StudentSafe ships an update every 2 months, Sommet every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
