# Bayan vs CHIEF.

The clearest difference is update cadence: CHIEF. at every 2 months against Bayan's every 8 months. Bayan's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bayan ships an update every 8 months, CHIEF. every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
