# Eclipse CCTV vs CarShops

The clearest difference is ads: CarShops at none against Eclipse CCTV's shown. Eclipse CCTV's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Eclipse CCTV ships an update every 8 days, CarShops every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
