# BasicBlock vs Vietwich

The clearest difference is rating: Vietwich at 5.0 against BasicBlock's 3.8. Vietwich also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.4). BasicBlock's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Vietwich holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BasicBlock has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BasicBlock ships an update every 2 months, Vietwich every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
