# Super Mean Monkeys vs Dream Journey

The clearest difference is rating: Dream Journey at 4.7 against Super Mean Monkeys's 4.0. Dream Journey also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 20 months) and ratings volume (29 vs 1). Super Mean Monkeys's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Super Mean Monkeys sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Dream Journey sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dream Journey holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dream Journey has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Super Mean Monkeys ships an update every 20 months, Dream Journey every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
