# Tholz Smart Home vs SimplePets

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SimplePets at 100% against Tholz Smart Home's 52%. SimplePets also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 weeks) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Tholz Smart Home's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 2.3) and ratings volume (176 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Tholz Smart Home holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tholz Smart Home has 176 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Tholz Smart Home's written reviews are positive against 100% of SimplePets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tholz Smart Home ships an update every 4 weeks, SimplePets every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
