# Alpena Auto vs Homei

The clearest difference is rating: Alpena Auto at 1.7 against Homei's 1.5. Alpena Auto also leads on ratings volume (133 vs 15). Homei's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Alpena Auto holds the better App Store score, 1.7 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alpena Auto has 133 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Alpena Auto's written reviews are positive against 20% of Homei's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alpena Auto ships an update every 6 months, Homei every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
