# Exempt vs StreetSmart242

The clearest difference is rating: StreetSmart242 at 5.0 against Exempt's 2.1. StreetSmart242 also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Exempt's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (103 vs 4). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

StreetSmart242 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Exempt has 103 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
