# Dextopia vs MapGenie

Dextopia and MapGenie both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MapGenie's written reviews are positive against 50% of Dextopia's. MapGenie also leads on ratings volume (20 vs 3). Dextopia's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MapGenie sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Dextopia asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Dextopia against 4.8 for MapGenie. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MapGenie has 20 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
