# Platform8 vs MyAKASH

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: MyAKASH at none against Platform8's 10. MyAKASH also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (58 vs 3). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Platform8 sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. MyAKASH asks for nothing beyond the download.

MyAKASH holds the better App Store score, 2.5 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyAKASH has 58 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of Platform8's written reviews are positive against 26% of MyAKASH's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Platform8 ships an update every 6 weeks, MyAKASH monthly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
