# Phenom Video vs Reflex

The clearest difference is rating: Reflex at 4.7 against Phenom Video's 4.1. Reflex also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Phenom Video's advantage is review sentiment (74% vs 41%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Reflex holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Reflex has 1.7K ratings behind it against 123, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Phenom Video's written reviews are positive against 41% of Reflex's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Phenom Video ships an update every 3 weeks, Reflex fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
