# PSI Test Prep vs RealReady

PSI Test Prep and RealReady both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of RealReady's written reviews are positive against 65% of PSI Test Prep's. PSI Test Prep's advantage is ratings volume (4.3K vs 7) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PSI Test Prep sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and RealReady sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for PSI Test Prep against 4.9 for RealReady. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PSI Test Prep has 4.3K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 65% of PSI Test Prep's written reviews are positive against 100% of RealReady's.

PSI Test Prep ships an update every 5 weeks, RealReady every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
