# Razer Cortex Mobile vs Portal

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Razer Cortex Mobile at none against Portal's 14. Razer Cortex Mobile also leads on ratings volume (3.5K vs 66) and iOS requirement (17 vs 26.0). Portal's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 35%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). On price, rating and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Portal sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Razer Cortex Mobile asks for nothing beyond the download.

Razer Cortex Mobile holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Razer Cortex Mobile has 3.5K ratings behind it against 66, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Razer Cortex Mobile's written reviews are positive against 63% of Portal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Razer Cortex Mobile ships an update every 2 months, Portal every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
