# Boulder vs MyTruDate

Boulder and MyTruDate both sit at 3.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 60% of MyTruDate's written reviews are positive against 46% of Boulder's. Boulder's advantage is ratings volume (197 vs 18). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Boulder sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and MyTruDate sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for Boulder against 3.9 for MyTruDate. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Boulder has 197 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 46% of Boulder's written reviews are positive against 60% of MyTruDate's.

Boulder ships an update monthly, MyTruDate every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
