# PortX vs Appspree

The clearest difference is rating: Appspree at 4.6 against PortX's 3.8. Appspree also leads on ratings volume (660 vs 20). PortX's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (73% vs 58%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Appspree sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. PortX asks for nothing beyond the download.

Appspree holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Appspree has 660 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of PortX's written reviews are positive against 58% of Appspree's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PortX ships an update monthly, Appspree every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
