# PortX vs La Terminal

The clearest difference is rating: La Terminal at 4.7 against PortX's 3.8. La Terminal also leads on chart position (#142 vs unranked) and ratings volume (104 vs 20). PortX's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. La Terminal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. PortX asks for nothing beyond the download.

La Terminal holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: La Terminal has 104 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of PortX's written reviews are positive against 66% of La Terminal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PortX ships an update monthly, La Terminal every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
