# PortX vs Temp Mail

The clearest difference is rating: Temp Mail at 5.0 against PortX's 3.8. Temp Mail also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 73%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). PortX's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Temp Mail holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PortX has 20 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 73% of PortX's written reviews are positive against 100% of Temp Mail's.

PortX ships an update monthly, Temp Mail fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
