# Creative Cast vs Epson Setting Assistant

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Creative Cast at 71% against Epson Setting Assistant's 23%. Creative Cast also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Epson Setting Assistant's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 2.5) and ratings volume (464 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Epson Setting Assistant holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Epson Setting Assistant has 464 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Creative Cast's written reviews are positive against 23% of Epson Setting Assistant's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Creative Cast ships an update every 6 weeks, Epson Setting Assistant every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
