# Pilot Pro vs Track Maps Pro

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pilot Pro at free with in-app purchases against Track Maps Pro's subscription. Pilot Pro also leads on review sentiment (29% vs 0%) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Track Maps Pro's advantage is rating (2.0 vs 1.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pilot Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $34.99 per year and Track Maps Pro sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Track Maps Pro holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pilot Pro has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Pilot Pro's written reviews are positive against 0% of Track Maps Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pilot Pro ships an update every 3 weeks, Track Maps Pro every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
