# Documents Translator vs Translate Now

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Translate Now at 100% against Documents Translator's 54%. Translate Now also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 5) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). Documents Translator's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (79 vs 3). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Documents Translator sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Translate Now asks for nothing beyond the download.

Documents Translator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Documents Translator has 79 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of Documents Translator's written reviews are positive against 100% of Translate Now's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Documents Translator ships an update every 3 weeks, Translate Now every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
