# International Surface Event vs ProjectsForce

The clearest difference is rating: International Surface Event at 3.8 against ProjectsForce's 1.8. ProjectsForce's advantage is review sentiment (20% vs 0%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

International Surface Event holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ProjectsForce has 20 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of International Surface Event's written reviews are positive against 20% of ProjectsForce's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

International Surface Event ships an update monthly, ProjectsForce every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 29, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
