# StbEmuTV vs PkMania

The clearest difference is rating: PkMania at 5.0 against StbEmuTV's 2.3. PkMania also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). StbEmuTV's advantage is ratings volume (50 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PkMania holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StbEmuTV has 50 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

StbEmuTV ships an update every 4 days, PkMania every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
