# PureClock vs TickClock

The clearest difference is ads: TickClock at none against PureClock's shown. TickClock also leads on review sentiment (91% vs 78%). PureClock's advantage is ratings volume (44 vs 8). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PureClock sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and TickClock sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for PureClock against 4.6 for TickClock. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PureClock has 44 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of PureClock's written reviews are positive against 91% of TickClock's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
