# PureClock vs Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget

The clearest difference is rating: PureClock at 4.6 against Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget's 3.5. PureClock also leads on ratings volume (44 vs 4). Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 78%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PureClock sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PureClock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PureClock has 44 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 78% of PureClock's written reviews are positive against 100% of Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PureClock ships an update fortnightly, Nightstand Desk Clock & Widget every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
