# Text Summary vs VIIO

The clearest difference is ads: VIIO at none against Text Summary's shown. VIIO also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text Summary sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and VIIO sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VIIO holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 263 and 1.2K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Text Summary's written reviews are positive against 68% of VIIO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Text Summary ships an update monthly, VIIO every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
