# Text Summary vs Nerdmask

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Text Summary at 71% against Nerdmask's 29%. Nerdmask's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text Summary sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Nerdmask sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nerdmask holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 265 and 199 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Text Summary's written reviews are positive against 29% of Nerdmask's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Text Summary ships an update monthly, Nerdmask every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
