# RAD vs RIDcontrol

The clearest difference is update cadence: RAD at every 3 weeks against RIDcontrol's every 11 months. RAD also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RAD ships an update every 3 weeks, RIDcontrol every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
