# Altitude Presents vs troop.fm

The clearest difference is rating: troop.fm at 5.0 against Altitude Presents's 4.2. troop.fm also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Altitude Presents's advantage is ratings volume (1.2K vs 3) and review sentiment (11% vs 0%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

troop.fm holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Altitude Presents has 1.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 11% of Altitude Presents's written reviews are positive against 0% of troop.fm's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Altitude Presents ships an update every 3 months, troop.fm every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
