# Calca app vs Post Maker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Post Maker at 100% against Calca app's 48%. Post Maker also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.0). Calca app's advantage is ratings volume (91 vs 6) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calca app sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year and Post Maker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Post Maker holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calca app has 91 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of Calca app's written reviews are positive against 100% of Post Maker's.

Calca app ships an update fortnightly, Post Maker every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
