# Calca app vs AR Drawing App

The clearest difference is rating: AR Drawing App at 4.6 against Calca app's 4.0. AR Drawing App also leads on ratings volume (4.8K vs 91) and chart position (#38 vs unranked). Calca app's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks) and review sentiment (48% vs 36%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calca app sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per year and AR Drawing App sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AR Drawing App holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AR Drawing App has 4.8K ratings behind it against 91, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Calca app's written reviews are positive against 36% of AR Drawing App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calca app ships an update fortnightly, AR Drawing App every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 27, 2026.
