# Supernotes vs Zettelbox

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Supernotes at 91% against Zettelbox's 31%. Supernotes also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (122 vs 24). Zettelbox's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Supernotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.00 per month and Zettelbox sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Supernotes holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Supernotes has 122 ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 91% of Supernotes's written reviews are positive against 31% of Zettelbox's.

Supernotes ships an update monthly, Zettelbox every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
