# Supernotes vs CircleNote

The clearest difference is update cadence: CircleNote at every 2 days against Supernotes's monthly. CircleNote also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 91%). Supernotes's advantage is ratings volume (127 vs 7) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Supernotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.00 per month and CircleNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Supernotes against 4.9 for CircleNote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Supernotes has 127 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 91% of Supernotes's written reviews are positive against 100% of CircleNote's.

Supernotes ships an update monthly, CircleNote every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
