# Supernotes vs Direction

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Supernotes at 127 against Direction's 3. Direction's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Supernotes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.00 per month and Direction sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Direction holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Supernotes has 127 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Supernotes ships an update monthly, Direction weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
