# Picola vs Alix

The clearest difference is ads: Picola at none against Alix's shown. Picola also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Alix's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 60 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Picola ships an update every 60 months, Alix weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
