# SoftMaker Presentations vs MobiScan

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MobiScan at 100% against SoftMaker Presentations's 75%. MobiScan also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 2 months). SoftMaker Presentations's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SoftMaker Presentations sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per month and MobiScan sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SoftMaker Presentations holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 59 and 30 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of SoftMaker Presentations's written reviews are positive against 100% of MobiScan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SoftMaker Presentations ships an update every 2 months, MobiScan monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
