# EMT Prep vs Study Shield

The clearest difference is monetization model: EMT Prep at free with in-app purchases against Study Shield's subscription. EMT Prep also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). Study Shield's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EMT Prep sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Study Shield sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Study Shield holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EMT Prep has 1.6K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
