# VPN PILOT vs OroVPN

The clearest difference is rating: OroVPN at 3.7 against VPN PILOT's 1.0. OroVPN also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (7 vs 1). VPN PILOT's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.5 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN PILOT sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and OroVPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OroVPN holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OroVPN has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VPN PILOT ships an update every 17 months, OroVPN every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
