# Desktop Browser vs Cookie

The clearest difference is rating: Desktop Browser at 4.5 against Cookie's 3.4. Desktop Browser also leads on review sentiment (65% vs 40%) and ratings volume (3.3K vs 91). Cookie's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, ads, chart position and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Desktop Browser sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Cookie asks for nothing beyond the download.

Desktop Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Desktop Browser has 3.3K ratings behind it against 91, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of Desktop Browser's written reviews are positive against 40% of Cookie's.

Desktop Browser ships an update every 5 weeks, Cookie every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
