# Desktop Browser vs Widgets for Stripe

The clearest difference is update cadence: Widgets for Stripe at every 3 days against Desktop Browser's monthly. Widgets for Stripe also leads on review sentiment (79% vs 65%). Desktop Browser's advantage is ratings volume (3.9K vs 44) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Desktop Browser sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Widgets for Stripe sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Desktop Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Desktop Browser has 3.9K ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Desktop Browser's written reviews are positive against 79% of Widgets for Stripe's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Desktop Browser ships an update monthly, Widgets for Stripe every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
