# Troma NOW! vs Screamify

The clearest difference is rating: Troma NOW! at 5.0 against Screamify's 3.8. Troma NOW! also leads on review sentiment (97% vs 60%) and ads (none vs shown). Screamify's advantage is monetization model (free vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 4 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Troma NOW! sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month and Screamify sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Troma NOW! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Troma NOW! has 141 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 97% of Troma NOW!'s written reviews are positive against 60% of Screamify's.

Troma NOW! ships an update every 4 months, Screamify every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
