# ORCA Assist vs Hydrawise

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hydrawise at every 3 weeks against ORCA Assist's every 10 months. Hydrawise also leads on ratings volume (66K vs 1) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). ORCA Assist's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ORCA Assist holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hydrawise has 66K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ORCA Assist ships an update every 10 months, Hydrawise every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
