# Net Optimizer vs DNS Changer

The clearest difference is ads: DNS Changer at none against Net Optimizer's shown. DNS Changer also leads on review sentiment (96% vs 70%). Net Optimizer's advantage is ratings volume (3.1K vs 177) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Net Optimizer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and DNS Changer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Net Optimizer against 4.6 for DNS Changer. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Net Optimizer has 3.1K ratings behind it against 177, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 70% of Net Optimizer's written reviews are positive against 96% of DNS Changer's.

Net Optimizer ships an update every 3 weeks, DNS Changer every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
