# eyeVue vs Madcam

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: eyeVue at none against Madcam's 6. eyeVue also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). Madcam's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (16 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Madcam sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. eyeVue asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for eyeVue against 5.0 for Madcam. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Madcam has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

eyeVue ships an update monthly, Madcam every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
