# Accelovate vs Shoal

The clearest difference is update cadence: Shoal at every 2 months against Accelovate's every 4 months. Accelovate's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Accelovate ships an update every 4 months, Shoal every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
