# Gratsy vs Fin

The clearest difference is rating: Gratsy at 4.5 against Fin's 4.0. Gratsy also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (2.6K vs 4). Fin's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (50% vs 42%). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Fin sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Gratsy asks for nothing beyond the download.

Gratsy holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gratsy has 2.6K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Gratsy's written reviews are positive against 50% of Fin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Gratsy ships an update monthly, Fin every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
