# Bootcamp.com vs Kaplan Medical

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Bootcamp.com at 18K against Kaplan Medical's 2. Kaplan Medical's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Bootcamp.com against 5.0 for Kaplan Medical. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bootcamp.com has 18K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Bootcamp.com ships an update every 6 weeks, Kaplan Medical fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
