# Bootcamp.com vs Kodent

The clearest difference is update cadence: Kodent at every 5 days against Bootcamp.com's every 6 weeks. Bootcamp.com's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (18K vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Bootcamp.com against 5.0 for Kodent. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bootcamp.com has 18K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 86% of Bootcamp.com's written reviews are positive against 67% of Kodent's.

Bootcamp.com ships an update every 6 weeks, Kodent every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
